Get your CPU overclock stable first before you try overclocking your RAM. You can overclock the RAM, but it will only help with a little bit with performance. Make sure you are looking at the correct one for the VRMs.

There is usually a temperature reading for motherboard, SB chipset, VRM, CPU, etc. 1.27V.ġ.27V is now stable at 3.8 GHz, so you keep going. Set it to 1.25V and you try 3.6 GHz (200 x 18), 3.7 GHz, and 3.8 GHz.ģ.8 GHz is not stable, so you increase it to say. Increase the voltage a little bit at a time until your overclock speed is stable.įor example, let's say your FX-6300 runs stock 3.5 GHz with 1.25V. If you use CPU-Z, you can see what voltage your FX-6300 uses at stock / auto. I can't view the video at work, so will need to check when I get home or something. What are you using to check temperatures? HWMonitor? AIDA64? HWinfo? What are you using to test if the overclock is stable? And also how can I overclock the ram? They are both sticks of hyper X fury ram at 1600mhz.

And the motherboard under full load only reached 35°c with the cpu at 4.2ghz. I don't know how low I have to set the voltage. OK I have it at 4.2ghz because it gets pretty toasty the cpu at 50-55°c so I brought it down but with the same voltage as the video.
